Fees

Transparent and Flexible Pricing

I believe everyone deserves access to high-quality speech and language care. My fees reflect the time, expertise, and preparation that go into each session — and I’m always open to discussing ways to make services more accessible.

Fees (Effective September 1, 2025 – August 31, 2026)

  • 50-minute sessions: $140* (assessment or therapy)
  • 30-minute sessions: $110
  • 20-minute sessions: $85

I charge the same fee for both assessments and therapy sessions. The first session is usually an assessment, and the second session typically includes a discussion of your care plan, followed by the start of therapy.

*Many clinicians, including Speech-Language Pathologists, refer to these as “full sessions” or “hour-long sessions.” In practice, 50 minutes are dedicated to time with the client, and 10 minutes to documentation. Because some clients have found this terminology confusing, I prefer to call them “50-minute sessions” so expectations are clear.

Financial Accessibility

If these fees create financial strain, please reach out. I’m committed to helping people access the services they need. Whenever possible, I’ll explore funding options, work within your budget, or offer a discounted rate.

Funding

Many extended health insurance plans cover Speech-Language Pathology services, and we can bill some companies directly.
  • University students often have coverage through their student plan.
  • Workplace benefits may cover services for you or your children.
  • Services for Canadian Armed Forces members are covered when a referral and authorization are provided by the Canadian Armed Forces.
Other funding sources include:
  • Jordan’s Principle – for First Nations children.
  • Child and Family Services – for children in care.
  • Variety Manitoba – to support children and families

Book your session today, or contact us if you have questions about funding.

Claiming SLP Services on Your Taxes

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) services provided by a licensed SLP — including assessments, therapy sessions, and other direct services — are generally considered eligible medical expenses for income tax purposes in both Manitoba and Ontario.

You may be able to claim any fees not covered by insurance or another funder on your tax return, potentially reducing the amount of tax you owe. Be sure to keep your receipts and invoices, request a yearly statement, or download your receipts from your client portal to make claiming them easier.

For details specific to your situation, consult a tax professional or the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
